Submitted by JTD Try the Motherload with the Tonebone into the clean channel on your amp. Set your 'Clean Sound' as you would normally and for your lead sound, set the 'Drive Gain' to 'High' and crank the 'DRIVE to about 75%. Set 'HIGH' 'LOW' and 'FILTER' to taste. It sounds wicked.
Submitted by John Guth For great clean sounds I use pre 0, res - 0, res + 4, And all the pots up full. I like that setting for bright distortion sounds also."
Submitted by Michael Montgomery Use the 'Filter' and 'Resonance' controls of Motherload instead of using EQ on lead vocals in order to bring them "out" in the mix. It changes the way the track sits in the mix without using the traditional EQ method of boosting/cutting frequencies. Compared to EQ'ing, it is a much more subtle way of altering the placement of a track in the overall mix but equally as effective. Also try it on kick, snare, bass and guitars in the mix. Great mixing tool.
